▼ Review: UL Timate Demon Beast | 1/72 Golden Shiranui Armor - Heimdall Alloy Finished Model

The second large-scale alloy finished action figure from domestic model brand UL Timate Demon Beast, the "Golden Shiranui - Heimdall" (sample), recently arrived at our editorial department. Like its predecessor, the "Mighty Fighter - Tyron," it features a custom-modified mecha design, presented in a substantial 27cm size. Its scale is comparable to most 1/72 scale mechs. Additionally, this time the magnetic control light set has been increased to 10 units. Let’s take a closer look!

Accessories include 10 magnetic control lights (9 blue lights + 1 green light).

The model's main body stands approximately 27cm tall (1/72 scale), reaching an overall height of about 33cm in its fully equipped form with the Shiranui backpack. From its appearance, its renowned name is immediately recognizable. The full body golden paintwork is divided into three shades (champagne gold, glaucous gold, and red gold) to enrich its layers, accented by tampo-printed markings in various areas, resulting in a very high level of paint finish. The full alloy frame also provides excellent stability for the main body's self-standing pose. However, regarding the head-to-body proportion, it still inherits the issue of a relatively short upper body from the GK version.

▼ The head sculpt can embed a magnetic control light unit. The default is a green light, but this time, 9 blue light units are included, allowing us to change the eye lights to the blue color that better matches the mecha's design.

▼ The head can tilt up and down approximately 25 degrees. The waist can rotate horizontally left and right about 120 degrees, and bend forward and backward 45 degrees, providing sufficient articulation.

▼ The shoulders feature forward extension articulation, and the elbows have a two-stage bend, capable of reaching up to 180 degrees. This allows for classic "SEED-style" shield-bracing firing poses when combined with the pivot behind the shield.

▼ The shield features corresponding detailed engravings on both its front and interior. The back is equipped with a movable rotating arm, allowing for multi-angle shield holding, though a slightly larger size would have been even better.

▼ The rifle and dual swords retain their combination gimmick as per the original design, so we won't elaborate further here. However, the beam blades are a bit short, making them appear less potent.
