Red Soul 1/144 Night Hawk Spec II Model Kit
Pictures updated.
▼ Recently, the editorial department suddenly received the first assembly model " NIGHTHAWK SPEC II (sample)" kit from the new brand "Red Soul Toys". This "SPEC II" version has been revised in terms of assembly accuracy, detail optimization, and mirror processing of exterior parts. With a total of over 750 parts, it took us three nights to build it. Today, let's take a look at how it performs! PS: It is said that the official mass production will continue to be optimized, and will come with one marking water decal and one fluorescent metal sticker.
Parts Details
There are a total of 38 pieces and a total of about 750+ parts. Judging from the number of parts, it is obviously a model that is relatively high in threshold for players, and the official box will also adopt a design similar to the PG with a portable box.

▼ The red part of the board is mainly the outer armor of the body, using a high-gloss mirror processing, making it look like car shell parts. However, there are many gate marks on the red parts, and the red parts are prone to white marks when processed, so extra care should be taken. Since it is a pre-production sample parts, some parts may have certain scratches on the surface, and the mass production will be optimized accordingly.

▼ The grey skeleton and black outer armor parts are matte black, contrasting with the red outer armor.

▼ The skeleton parts have a lot of mechanical details on the surface, and the overall sharpness is satisfactory.

▼ Parts like the inner frame framework shown in the image are made of a material with some flexibility.

▼ Approximately 90% of the gate marks are designed to be hidden, and there are many nozzle parts for the body, with significant differences in the size of each nozzle. It is recommended to process all the nozzles first before assembling the main body.

▼ After assembly, the total height is about 27cm. The assembly accuracy is medium, with the main difficulty lying in the processing of the high-gloss outer armor gate marks. The recommended assembly sequence is wings → limbs → torso → head. With clear plate guidance in the instruction manual, you can quickly clear the plates.

▼ Skeleton Part
The body has a complete skeleton structure, with huge wings on the back and a heavy double-layered skeleton at the tail. Although the skeleton parts are only in 2 shades of grey, there are many detailed engravings, and players with the means can do some detailed painting.

▼ The semi-armored state is my personal favorite way of displaying, and when combined with the GnK Arsenal for display, it will undoubtedly be a very eye-catching piece. Judging by the left and right split design of the body's large red armor, it is speculated that this display was envisaged from the beginning of the design.

▼ Comparing the semi-armored state.

▼ Though the upper body has a complete skeleton, it appears to be much less detailed compared to the legs and wing sections, and is more suitable for displaying with the outer armor. It is a pity that the forearm cannot store the beam saber.

▼ There is a small movable arm hidden on the inside of the skirt armor, capable of holding a beam sword. The front skirt armor can also slightly expand downward, revealing the internal spiritual skeleton details.

▼ The back wings serve as floating cannon GnK capsules and large thrusters, with upper and lower layers that can be unfolded using rotating axes and each nozzle having an independently movable axis. Each nozzle is made of a double-layer split piece, making the entire assembly process relatively complex.

▼ The massive tail wing has a double-layered skeleton split-piece design, with independent split pieces for the internal power plant details, and grey details on the bottom, although not color-separated, are treated as individual blocks for ease of later painting.

▼ The reverse-legged leg design imitating avian animals is arguably the most distinctive highlight of this work, with hydraulic linkage design at the knee joints and ankles. Considering the need to support the weight of the entire body, the knee joint movements are relatively tight, and the combination gaps on the back of the calf have also been optimized.

▼ Additionally, the kit comes with a small stand to help support the tail.

▼ A look at the weapon accessories. Aside from the standard gun shield, there are 4 beam swords and a total of 10 floating cannons.

▼ The beam rifle has a length of approximately 22cm and can be extended at the middle section of the gun body. The details are relatively concise, and the scope part is expected to be supplemented by the fluorescent metal sticker in the official mass production.

▼ The shield has a relatively large surface area, resembling a "face" when viewed from the shield face, and can only maintain the explosion-proof state. The closed state requires modification, and the shield features three missile detail pieces inside, but lacks the beam axe.

▼ Comes with 3 different hand designs, including holding a gun, holding a sword, and making a fist, with an outward swing articulation joint at the wrist for holding weapons.

▼ Complete Form
The complete form with all accessories installed, in contrast to the complex skeletal form, appears much sleeker with the outer armor on, with the overall lines becoming more coherent. Judging from the assembly result, the use of marking water decals may further enhance the completeness. As for the design, it is a matter of personal preference, as there are indeed a number of similar works on the market in recent years.

▼ Due to the interference of the body's design and the heavy load on the backpack, the overall articulation is relatively limited, only able to achieve basic movements.

▼ The wings can swing back about 75 degrees as a whole. The angles of the three rocket thrusters on the back can be adjusted independently.

▼ The kit comes with a connector for combining with standard MG stands, but the center of gravity is concentrated at the rear, providing little assistance in posing on the stand.
