▼ This time, the outer box is the “advanced version,” continuing the series’ standard CG-rendered style, clearly showcasing the two forms of the J35.

▼ The instruction manual appears to pay homage to the Ka version.

▼ The advanced version includes a total of 18 runners (compared to 16 in the standard version). The main difference is in the weapons: the advanced version adds two assault rifles, one marksman rifle, and two missile launcher units.

▼ The inner frame is constructed from POM and alloy parts, and the transformation-related components come pre-assembled, making the overall building process much simpler.

▼ Although it is a non-scale mecha model, the overall height still reaches around 23 cm. The dual marksman rifles mounted on the backpack—exclusive to the advanced version—make the overall silhouette more exaggerated and fuller.

▼ The color scheme consists of low-saturation aviation gray, off-white, dark gray, and transparent orange, and even a straight build delivers a very solid visual result.

▼ The backpack can be detached. When viewed in humanoid form on its own, the overall appearance feels slightly plain.

▼ The outer armor across the body features clean panel line detailing to enhance visual depth, and the head sculpt includes a built-in magnetically controlled LED light.

▼ The chest features a cockpit structure that can accommodate a seated pilot figure inside.

▼ The head design features a “sunglasses-type” visor, with an overall form that emphasizes a speed-oriented triangular silhouette. The transparent part at the back of the head is designed to provide light to the visor even when the LED unit is not installed.

▼ The arms and legs have a relatively boxy design, and the side skirt armor functions as wings for the transformation.

▼ In addition to the seated pilot, a standing pilot in a saluting pose is also included.

▼ The torso articulation is fairly standard, but by utilizing the transformation mechanism, it can achieve up to a 90-degree backward bend.

▼ By utilizing the transformation joints in the shoulders, the arms can be posed in a crossed-arms position.

▼ The knees feature double-jointed bending, along with a linkage mechanism similar to hydraulic rods. The ankles have about a 50-degree ground contact range, which is sufficient for a unit that is primarily designed for flight.

▼ With the coordination between the waist and leg joints, even without a drop-down hip joint, it can still achieve a standard one-knee kneeling pose.

▼ In the advanced version, all weapons—except the beam saber—are included in pairs. Using the weapon mounts, the armaments can be attached to the backpack or the legs. Thanks to its POM + alloy inner frame structure, the overall handling feels quite stable.

▼ The J35 nose section, which is usually positioned at the back, can be detached and mounted onto the arm to be used as a blade.

▼ Only one beam saber is included, and it cannot be stored inside the nose section, which feels a bit of a missed opportunity.

▼ The stand included this time continues the design of the J20 Cangwei, with connection parts divided into two types: one for humanoid form and one for aircraft mode.

▼ In vehicle mode, the total length is approximately 33 cm. The transformation process is relatively simple, with locking tabs throughout for stability. It is recommended to apply a bit of lubricant to the wing slide rails during assembly to ensure smoother transformation.

▼ From a top view, it closely matches the design of the J35. The fuselage features rich panel line detailing typical of aircraft, giving the model a more refined and visually appealing finish.

▼ From the underside of the aircraft, the appearance is somewhat awkward, which is hard to avoid, but the storage integration is very neat. It would be even better if landing gear were included.

▼ The nose section also features a detailed cockpit interior, and the canopy can be opened.

▼ The cockpit can be configured in two modes: manned or unmanned (drone).

▼ The canopy is available in three color options.

▼ The surface detailing on the fuselage is quite rich, and panel lining is highly recommended to enhance the overall finish. There are also three weapon mounting points reserved on the back, making it easy to equip various armaments.

▼ In vehicle mode, the nose section can still be equipped with the beam saber, which adds a unique sci-fi play feature specific to this unit.

▼ As the first transformable model kit in the series, it delivers a solid balance between playability and transformation design. During assembly, a large number of POM parts are used in the inner frame connections, so a bit more force may be required. However, the final straight-build result looks very impressive.
