▼ The latest original die-cast articulated mecha from Cang Dao, “Soul Warden · Zhu Kui” (sample unit), has recently arrived!
The design is inspired by the legendary figure Zhong Kui, the traditional demon-quelling deity. The backpack reinterprets the bat motif found in classic Zhong Kui imagery, symbolizing “fortune.” Accompanying the main body are two ghost companions, “Soul Seizer” and “Xu Hao,” which can be displayed and played with together. Let’s take a closer look!

▼ Packaging & Accessories Overview

▼ Included Accessories

Main body ×1

Main backpack ×1

“Soul Seizer” ×1

“Xu Hao” ×1

Divine Thunder Talisman ×1

Effect Greatsword ×1

Tiangang True Cannon ×1

Seven Luminaries Star Swords ×2

Interchangeable hands ×6 pairs

LED display base + serpentine stand ×1

▼ The display base is shaped like a round drum, with bat motifs incorporated into the surface details. Installing three AAA batteries allows the central light to activate. There are four lighting modes:
Solid Green → Breathing Green → Solid Red → Breathing Red.
The light automatically turns off after approximately 30–40 seconds.

▼ A Mecha Built to Exorcise Evil

The figure stands approximately 26 cm tall, and reaches nearly 29 cm when mounted on the base.
The color scheme uses a matte metallic finish, which demands higher paint quality and further emphasizes the sharp, angular armor design. Deep red, bright red, and gold dominate the palette, resulting in a very luxurious overall appearance.

▼ The head sculpt draws heavily from the image of Zhong Kui, featuring a leopard-like face, wide staring eyes, an iron mask, and fierce facial hair, translated into a mechanical aesthetic.
Both the head and chest feature magnetically activated LED lights, with solid and breathing modes that automatically turn off after about 30 seconds.

▼ The neck uses a double ball-joint structure, and the ghost horn parts on both sides of the head can be shifted backward to avoid articulation interference.

▼ The waist incorporates a linked bending mechanism that reveals additional mechanical details at the rear when leaning forward. Due to the large backpack, backward lean is limited, while horizontal rotation reaches approximately 45 degrees.

▼ The arms feature sharp, aggressive sculpting. During posing, care should be taken to avoid paint rub between the shoulder armor and arm guards.

▼ Arms can lift horizontally beyond 90 degrees. Elbows are double-jointed, and both the forearms and upper arms have rotation. The shoulder joints can be pulled outward significantly, making it easy to pose two-handed sword stances or talisman-casting gestures.

▼ A total of six interchangeable hand types are included, which can directly combine with the Divine Thunder Talisman effect part.

▼ The skirt armor sections are relatively long and feature finely layered detailing.

▼ All skirt armor panels can be lifted to allow greater leg articulation.

▼ The side skirt armor can store the Seven Luminaries Star Swords.

▼ The rear skirt ribbons feature three points of articulation.

▼ Although portrayed as a soul-wielding exorcist, the legs are powerfully built. Magnets are embedded in the soles of the feet, allowing secure attachment to the display base.

▼ The hip joints include forward and backward sliding axes to enhance leg movement. Knees are double-jointed.

▼ During deep knee bends, the knee armor and inner thigh hydraulic pistons move in sync.

▼ Backpack & Weapons

The backpack is designed after a giant bat, symbolizing “fortune” in traditional Zhong Kui iconography. The hollowed wing sections use translucent purple-pink parts for visual depth.

▼ Both the teeth details and wings are articulated, allowing angle adjustments.

▼ The Seven Luminaries Star Swords come as a pair and can be combined with energy burst effect parts.

▼ The large firearm accessory, “Tiangang True Cannon,” features an extendable barrel that unfolds the central section to activate a high-output firing mode.
Times have changed, it seems using a gun to exorcise demons is even more effective!

▼ The Two Ghost Companions

The two included ghosts, “Soul Seizer” and “Xu Hao,” share the same sculpt and articulation, differing only in color scheme.

▼ Both feature magnetically activated LED lights inside their mouths. However, since the light module is positioned centrally, the magnet may need to be applied a few times to activate the light.
Their articulation is quite impressive overall. The only two drawbacks are that the heads cannot rotate left or right, and no dedicated stands are included for them.
(That said, standard figma-style stands can be used as an alternative.)
