▼ The product is essentially an enlarged version of an HG kit.
▼ Its overall structure is mostly based on HG design, but the manufacturer has made some targeted structural improvements.
For example, some of the original HG polycap ball joints have been replaced with more supportive and stable peg joints, significantly improving overall stability.
▼ Additionally, areas where the original HG had inadequate part separation and color distribution have been re-engineered, reducing the need for stickers and allowing the model to accurately replicate its color scheme even in a straight-build (out-of-box) state. Although it’s technically a KO upscale product, it’s clear that thought and effort were put into its design—it’s not just a mindless upscale.
▼ At first, when looking at the runners, I thought it was only scaled up to 1/72, which was a bit inaccurate. But after completion and comparison, the height actually reaches the size of a PG—it’s roughly the same height as a 1/60 PGU. So to be precise, this Z should be considered as 1/65 scale.

▼ Actually, through comparison, it’s not hard to see that the overall appearance of this Flash version is basically derived from the online ‘Master Archive’-style HG modification kit. The detailing is noticeably richer and more abundant than the original HG, including the often-criticized ‘short face’ issue, which also comes from this source. From the perspective of replication, it’s indeed very well done—whether you like this style or not, that’s really up to personal preference.

Essentially, it combines the HG kit with custom upgrade parts. As a result, there are notable differences in the sculpt and detailing compared to the original HG version.
▼ One of the more debated aspects—its head design—also stems from those modification parts. The head was completely reimagined in that upgrade kit, and this version retains that look. So this isn’t the manufacturer’s own redesign, but rather a direct reproduction of the modded version. Whether this look is appealing or not really depends on personal preference.

The joint stability is especially commendable — even after being upscaled, the figure doesn’t feel loose or unsteady.
▼ This is largely thanks to the manufacturer’s targeted optimization and adjustment of the joint structures. If they had simply copied the original HG joint design without modification, the enlarged size might not have maintained this level of structural integrity.

▼ As for the transformation mechanism — yes, it’s definitely present, since the design is clearly based on the original HG version. Just like the HG, it uses a parts-swapping transformation method, rather than a full mechanical transformation.
▼ The overall parts-swapping process is smooth and straightforward, with no major problems during the conversion. For an upscaled model, it’s more than acceptable.
▼ Overall, the kit performs quite well. Even though it’s an upscaled version, its proportions, structure, and detailing are all solid, making it a decent-quality KO upscale.
